Heating plates
The diversity of nature is reflected in the wide range of applications, processes and manufacturing technologies. Each of these methods needs to be considered individually. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible tool. Our guiding principle in the process: “Don’t make things unnecessarily complicated!” Our experience will help you decide which type of heating is best for you.
Electric heating plates
Modular design and versatile application possibilities: aluminium electric heating plates are true all-rounders and ideal for numerous demanding applications – be it in the laboratory, in open-cast mining, or in automotive manufacturing. They are manufactured in sandwich construction from aluminium sheets equipped with a heating conductor system.
For this purpose, several sheets are heat-resistant bonded, riveted or screwed together.
- Good temperature distribution due to small heating conductor spacing
- Various heating capacities per square metre
- Integration of air or vacuum systems possible
- Even heat distribution due to adjustable zones
- Construction heights from 6 mm possible
- Flexible plate sizes from min. 40 x 20 cm up to max. 9.2 x 2.8 m
- High power densities
- Suitable for high temperatures
- Aluminium plates that can be heated up to 120 °C (mechanically secured version up to 250 °C)
- Solid aluminium plates that can be heated up to 450 °C
- Steel heating plates with tubular heating elements or heating cartridges
Medium heating plates
Busse is a specialist in the manufacture of heating plates with liquid heating media. Our robust medium heating plate “VAR. St” is ideal for wood processing and for use at temperatures of more than 200° C. For surface hardness and corrosion protection, we can provide the medium heating plates with an anodised coating. Our medium heating plate “VAR. Al” medium heating plate is particularly impressive due to its high efficiency and flexible application possibilities.

Hybrid heating plates
Hybrid heating plates combine the best features of two worlds: the speed of electric heating and the homogeneous temperature control provided by a liquid heating medium.
- Very good temperature homogeneity
- No complex temperature control
- No temperature drop between inlet and outlet
- Temperature tolerance of +/- 0.5 °C on a pressing surface of 5 m²
- Any number of heating levels
Flexible heating plates
Press tools with permanently installed electric heating plates are developed exclusively for series production. In the case of small quantities or one-off productions in two-dimensional deformation, flexibility is required.
We manufacture flexible electric heating plates for processing
a very wide range of shapes and welded edges.

Heating & cooling plates
Maximum precision: through the circulation of liquids such as thermal oil or water inside the plate, very precise temperatures are achieved on the plate surface. Medium plates can be used for both surface heating and cooling.
- Can be used for heating and cooling
- Thermal behaviour slower than electrically heated plates
- Can be divided into several zones
- Integration of vacuum and blown air ducts possible
- Sandwich construction
- Breakthroughs and recesses possible
- Opposite-running flow variants can be implemented
- Prevents heat build-up in the middle of the plate
- No temperature drop in the edge area
- Welded aluminium pipe registers
- Welded steel or stainless-steel pipe registers
- Copper and stainless-steel pipe systems in milled aluminium plates
- Precision-milled cast aluminium and steel plates with deep hole drilling
Heating bars
Heating bars are part of the basic equipment of every joinery and carpentry workshop. But they are also ideally suited for gluing veneer and plastic edges. We can supply you with heating bars as standard products available at short notice and in individual custom-made designs – optimally matched to your requirements.
